This all depends on where you plan to ride it. If you’re looking to use it around a resort or small ski hill then the Resort Raider is perfect for this. Most resorts will not allow snowskates onto the mountain unless you have a leash attached. If you want to slide rails and do flip tricks like you would on your skateboard, then the Shred Sled Pro is the one for you. If you just want to play around on a small hill in the garden or a closed of gradient in the ski resort then the Shred Sled Little Ripper is the one for you.

Skate shoes are of course the preferred choice but they will get soaked through instantly. We recommend a good weatherised skate shoe for great board feel and additional grip in the snow/wet conditions. Snowboard boots are also an option but with less board feel and control. Don’t let us catch you in ski boots trying to ride a Shred Sled, but Moon Boots will earn you some bonus points!

The Shred Sled Pro and Jr can last for years unless you are taking them over rocks and concrete as this will damage the base and cause them to run slow. The Resort Raider has longevity as the base can be repaired and waxed just like a regular ski or snowboard.

Traditionally, the flat style Snowskate such as the Pro and Jr are not allowed onto the main slopes or lifts as they have no way of being attached to you, and therefore are a potential risk to others on the mountain. should you fall the skate can fly off down the mountain and potentially injure someone. The resort raider is accepted in all ski resorts as this can be turned and stopped in a controlled manner and includes the leash. which is attached to your leg so can not shoot off should you fall.
